Welcome everyone, and thank you…

It was a wonderful surprise to get back from Christmas dinner and see how many people have left such kind words on the new website.  I’ve got a ton of email to catch up on, and I’ll work on adding to my blogroll over the next few days.  Thanks to everyone who made suggestions for improving the site!  I’m still learning about WordPress – I was always afraid to do any exploring on the Hot Air dashboard, for fear of crashing such a huge blog, and treated most of its controls like live cobras.

I’m overjoyed, and humbled, that “Joy to the World” meant something to so many people.  Times like these make me feel much less middle-aged, because there is something marvelously child-like about discovering an entirely new flavor of happiness.  I hope your Christmas was filled with such discoveries as well!

I am glad you are seeing the genuine outpouring of affection and appreciation for your efforts. You have made a LOT of people a bit more joyous with your standalone presence online.

Here’s wishing you lots of love and success for the new year and beyond! :)

As to your format – keep it simple! It’s about content and that is something you have!

Doctor, I agree with @Adrienne. Love the simple format. It’s all about the words.

I too agree with the above comments regarding the simplicity of a web site. And it is, indeed, the CONTENT that matters. Content you obviously have, so the rest should be pretty easy to master! That’s not to say it can’t be “dressed up” a little, but it need not try to be everything for everybody, the way so many have morphed over the years.

Like the simplicity of our original Constitution, it’s the words that count, not the interior decorating.

“I’m overjoyed, and humbled, that “Joy to the World” meant something to so many people.”

It did indeed mean a lot to many of us who simply wish that the rest of the world would leave us alone to celebrate, or not, Christmas day, a national holiday, in whatever national, or local, or private and personal manner we choose.

Since my post of a comment to the “Joy to the World” thread, I’ve checked here daily, despite it being a holiday weekend, to see if you had posted anything to your new blog. So glad to see that you have received such a positive response!

Blog is perfect as is, in my humble opinion. Simple is good. All the better for when your time is taken up with campaigning some day, hopefully.

Doc; I’ve read (almost) every word you’ve posted at HotAir; it’s my pleasure and priviledge to be able to read it here, and send others to it for inspiration and enlightenment.

May you have a wonderfull Christmas – Thank you for using your gifts in such a meaningful way!

I printed out a copy of ‘Joy to the World’ and the family and I talked about it as we drove over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house.

I agree with the above, keep it very simple. Your writings are all that is necessary.

God bless and Happy New Year.

I agree, keep it clean. It is different, distinctive, and best of all, it suits you.

The message of the power of words is amply served by the simplicity of your current logo which is in a straightforward and honest type; nothing more is needed.

Spend the time on your writing instead of fiddling with visual clutter. Most websites have WAY TOO MUCH going on and look junky.

    My two cents!

    Words mean things.

And, Doc, in your case they mean a lot.

Keep ‘em comin’, and may your New Year be a healthy, bright and bountiful one.

Clarity of point is your hallmark, Doctor Zero. I have appreciated, and presume will continue to appreciate, how you make such clear points without all the blather and posturing. Your gift of communication is unique.

Thanks for trusting us with your real name. We should all be honored.

In this era of obfuscating politicians, where the proven and foundational values of America are being smeared with gunk from the bottom of street puddles, your writing is the antidote for the muddied thinking disease that the Left would impose on us everyday Americans. Thanks for being the uber-Windex for the windshields us ordinary folks try to look through as we drive through our daily lives.

Stay Strong. You are making a difference.

Hi Doc,I feel as most of your “readers” do–that is–any way we are able toget your thoughts and words is fine!!Most of us are in such a “state” over the direction of our countrywe don’t notice the frills that may or not be there–just the truthand facts will always be enough. It is an extra bonus to have these truths expressed in such poetic andbeautiful words.Happy New Year to all

Doctor Zero, a much belated congratulations. I have been reading your work for some time now (almost since the beginning) and have found you to be one of the most impassioned, cogent, and erudite writers for you cause. I love your writing!

I never had the opportunity to comment on Hot Air (I always missed the opportunity to register), so I am truly excited about your new website. Please keep writing. I may have a point or two to argue along the way (I guess you’d call me slightly left of center), but I will always extend praise, despite some contention.

    Bravo!
